Compare two job offers
Enter the terms from each offer — base, bonus, equity, 401(k), PTO, remote — and get a side-by-side breakdown: year-1 vs year-2 cash, benefits math, and the flags worth a second look. Free, no signup required — everything runs in your browser.
This tool does math on the numbers you enter. It never compares your offers to the market, never grades pay as good or bad, and never tells you which offer to take. Bonus figures are shown at target — actual payouts vary.
What this compares — and what it won't do
It compares
- Year-1 vs year-2 total cash, at the bonus target you enter
- 401(k) match dollars and annual health premium costs
- Equity vesting schedules and cliffs, from the stated grant value
- Deadlines, PTO, and work setup — side by side
It deliberately won't
- Claim an offer is above or below market
- Grade your pay or pick a winner
- Estimate taxes or value private equity
- Invent numbers for fields you left blank
Common questions
Is this financial advice?
No. This tool does arithmetic on the offer terms you enter — year-1 vs year-2 cash, 401(k) match dollars, vesting math. It's general information, not financial, tax, or legal advice, and it never tells you which offer to take.
Do you store the numbers I enter?
No. Everything runs in your browser — nothing you type is sent to our servers. The only network call is an anonymous rate-limit check (3 free comparisons per day).
Why doesn't it declare a winner?
Because it can't know the market or your priorities. Market data lags and title mapping is fuzzy, so any tool that grades your pay is guessing. This one shows the math on your own terms and leaves the decision to you.
How is year-2 cash calculated?
Year-1 cash is base salary plus signing bonus plus target bonus. Year 2 drops the one-time signing bonus, so you can see the cliff in total compensation instead of comparing an inflated first year.
This tool does arithmetic on the terms you entered — it is general information, not financial, tax, or legal advice. It never compares your offers to the market and never tells you which offer to take. Tax treatment varies (equity and bonuses are often taxed differently than base pay); consult a professional for equity and tax decisions.
