Pay Transparency Law in Nevada

Unlike most states we cover, Nevada doesn't require a pay range in the job posting itself. There's nothing to check in a posting's text — disclosure is owed at a different point in the process.

Nevada doesn't require a pay range in the job posting itself. Once an applicant completes an interview for the role, you must provide the wage or salary range for the position, even if they don't ask. A current employee who has applied for a promotion or transfer can request the range once they've interviewed for it or been offered it.

This isn't legal advice. Laws change and vary by locality and employer size, and this is a general summary, not exhaustive. Verify current requirements for your specific situation with counsel or Nevada Office of the Labor Commissioner before relying on this.

Including a pay range in the posting anyway is still a reasonable practice — it can reduce back-and-forth with applicants, even where Nevada doesn't require it. If you're posting in another state too, use the free checker to see whether that state does.
