Job Summary
Creates a safe, engaging classroom where elementary students build foundational academic and social skills. Plans standards-aligned lessons, assesses student progress, and partners with families to support each child's learning.
Essential Functions
- Plan and deliver lessons aligned to state standards across core subjects
- Assess student learning through observations, assignments, and formal assessments, and use results to adjust instruction
- Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment with clear routines and expectations
- Differentiate instruction to support students with diverse learning needs, including English learners and students with IEPs
- Communicate regularly with families about student progress, strengths, and areas for growth
- Collaborate with grade-level colleagues, specialists, and support staff on curriculum and student support
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and required documentation
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field
- Valid state teaching license/certification for elementary education
- Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate instructional strategies
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
Preferred:
- Experience with the school's adopted curriculum or learning platforms
- ESL, special education, or gifted endorsement

Bachelor's degree and valid state elementary teaching license required
Pay range example: $48,000–$68,000 per year, per the district salary schedule
